Yoruba Secession: Igboho Denies Planning An Attack Against Alake,Other Yoruba Monarchs
Sunday Adeyemo (Igboho) a resurgent activist and leader of the group fighting for the secession of Yoruba Land denied having any plan to attack the Palace of Alake of Egbaland in Abeokuta.
Sunday Igboho denied the claim from a section of the media that he has vow to attack the Yoruba Monarch after he release a statement against the call for the secession of Yoruba people from Nigeria.
Igboho’s spokesperson, Olayomi Koiki threatened to attack Oba Aremu Gbadebo,The Alake of Egbaland and other monarchs that failed to back the call for Yoruba nation in a video that found it way online. The popular activist have now distanced himself from such claim.
Dapo Salami,Special Adviser to Igboho on Media and Publicity revealed that Koiki actrd in his own capacity and not Igboho’s decision.
“Alake of Egbaland is a major leader in Yorubaland whom Igboho and the group honour and have so much reverence for”
“gboho will never say he wants to go and invade his palace. Koiki came in from the United Kingdom so he does not understand some things,” says Dapo Salami.
Speaking further,Dapo Salami reveal that the group Sunday Igboho is leading in his bid to emancipate Yoruba Land is not a violent group.
