“With one man down, we regroup and go on!” Following his son’s funeral, Pastor EA Adeboye talks (video)
Following the funeral of his son, Pastor Dare Adeboye, Pastor E.A. Adeboye took to Twitter and YouTube to share a post.
After his 42-year-old son died unexpectedly, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God thanked all who sent messages of help to his family.
He went on to say that nothing happens in life without God being aware of it.
Pastor Adeboye said in a 10-minute video posted on YouTube and reshared on Twitter that when God speaks, you must submit and cannot deny him, even though it is not convenient for you.
He went on to say that his son’s death at the age of 42 was not unusual.
“Death is not determined by one’s age. “We have also learned that it is not how long you live, but how well you live,” he said, adding, “Young people die, old people die, children die.””
He used the examples of Jesus Christ and John the Baptist as individuals who died young.
He went on to say: “A champion has passed away… Consider him to be a seed that we have planted… Let’s get ready for a special harvest.”
His caption for the video, which he shared on Twitter, reads: “We may have lost a General, but we haven’t lost God. We regroup and move forward despite losing a man!”
