A woman in Abuja has been accused of physically and mentally abusing her stepdaughter Husnah.
Husnah Habib, is a class 4 student of Islamic school, Sheikh Abubakar Gummi Academy which is located in Asokoro part of Abuja. She was burnt with a hot knife by her step mother.
In a video that was posted today by Hausa Blogger, Northern Hisbiscus, the young girl came to school on Tuesday morning, December 8, with burn wounds on her face and hands. When she was asked why her face and hands were burnt, the young girl said that her stepmother put a kitchen knife on fire and when it became hot, she placed it on her face
Husnah said she can’t tell her father because she’s scared and that her father and the Woman will give her more punishment if she reports.
