Why APC Suspended buhari’s Aide and Ten Other Persons from the Party.
The Ekiti State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress has suspended the Special Adviser to President Muhammad buhari on Political Matters, Babafemi Ojudu, and ten others indefinitely. Premium Times reported.
The party chieftains were suspended for disobeying the party and failure to withdraw the lawsuit filed against the party.
Among those suspended with Mr. Ojudu are Akin Akomolafe, Olusoga Owoeye, Delẹ Afolabi, Oyetunde Ojo.
According to a statement released on Thursday by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Ade Ajayi, the suspension was based on the recommendation of the disciplinary committee set up by the State Executive Council to investigate disobedience and misconduct of some party members. The committee recommended that the party members should withdraw all lawsuits against any member and no one should initiate another one.
In reaction to his suspension, Mr. Ojudu said he still remains a member of the All Progressives Congress.
He said those who suspended him do not have the right to do so because he is challenging their position in court.
He accused Governor Kayode Fayemi of being the brain behind his suspension.
“We can’t be like the governor who is an APC member on paper and PDP in the heart. He supported Obaseki and wants to destroy our party. We won’t allow that” Mr. Ojudu said.
The governor is yet to respond to the allegation that he supported Governor Godwin Obaseki of the People’s Democratic Party against Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of APC in the just concluded Edo State Governorship Election.
The crisis in Ekiti State APC has been on for several months. Last week, the State Executive Council summoned the aggrieved members to a panel but they fail to turn up. They claimed the executive does not have the power to do so because their appointments were already being challenged in court.

Can APC survive this crisis?
