UCL: Rain of goals in Europe as Ronaldo taste defeat in Portugal
It was a festival of goals in the UEFA Champions League last night as the two matches that were played produce eight goals combined. Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund scored five goals between themselves while Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus were defeated two goals to one by Porto.
Suso and Luuk De Jong scored for Sevilla while Dahoud and the diminutive 20-year-old Norwegian striker, Erling Haaland scored a brace to win the game for Borussia Dortmund against Sevilla in Spain.
Haaland has now scored Eighteen goals in his 13 UEFA Champions League appearances and only Kylian Mbappe has scored more goals than him before the age of 21.
Meanwhile, in another game of the night, Juventus, one of the favourite teams to win this season UEFA Champions League title was defeated two-one by Porto in Prtugal.
Mehdi Taremi and Moussa Marega scored for the host while Chiesa scored the consolation for Juventus.
Ronaldo and the Old Lady will have to upturn the result in the second leg to have a chance of progressing into the next round.
