U.S Space Force Unveils New Military Flag In Over 72 Years

The U.S space force was signed into law on December 20, 2019. Prior to this the president of the United States of America Donald Trump already directed the pentagon to begin planning for a space force. The main reason why the space force was formed was to undertake missions and operations in the rapidly evolving space domain. The service branch will be the 6th independent military service branch to undergo such mission.

As we all know this is the first new military service in more than 70 years, following the establishment of the U.S. Air Force in 1947.

It is organized as a military service branch within the Department of the Air Force, one of the three military departments within the Department of Defense. The Service through the Department of the Air Force, is headed by the Secretary of the Air Force, who reports to the Secretary of Defense, and is appointed by the president with Senate confirmation. In terms of personnel count, it is the smallest U.S. armed service within the U.S. Department of Defense. The official flag of the U.S. Space Force was unveiled at the White House event with President Donald Trump on May 15th.
The flag by way of description is a very dark blue colored flag. It features three large stars and the Space Force’s signature delta logo in the center. While speaking at the event trump noted saying “Space is going to be the future, both in terms of defense and offense and so many other things,” which therefore speaks of the genuine intentions and plans of the government to take space exploration to another level.
