Trouble In Nkanu East Local Government Over Alleged Police Shooting of Monarch
There is ongoing trouble in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, over an alleged report that police shot and killed Igwe Emmanuel Chidiebere Mba.
Igwe Emmanuel Chidiebere Mba who is the traditional ruler of the Oruku Community in Nkanu East local government area of Enugu state was earlier today announced dead after he was allegedly shot on Saturday by policemen while addressing the members of the Oruku community in the town hall.
However, there is a suggestion that the death of Igwe Emmanuel Chidiebere Mba could be related to the brewing tension between Oruku and her Umuode neighbors In Nkanu East Local Government of Enugu State.
Some months earlier, the Enugu state Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has intervened to bring peace between Oruku and her Umuode neighbors who had engaged each other in bloody communal crises that have lasted for over 27 years.
