Transfer: Tottenham set to announce double signings after opening day league defeat against Everton
Tottenham Hotspur is set to announce the signing of former player Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon both from Real Madrid in Spain this week.
Tottenham will be resigning Gareth Bale on loan from Real Madrid until end of this campaign with the option to buy after the Welsh is surplus to requirement at the Laliga defending champion.
Gareth Bale left Tottenham in 2013 for a then world-record transfer fee of £85M to join the Spanish giant. After seven years at the Spanish capital, the Welsh captain will be rejoining Spurs to kick his professional career running again after struggling for playing time at Madrid in the last two years.
The North London side have also agreed d deal to sign defender Sergio Reguilon from Madrid after Manchester United pulled out of the chance to sign the young defender due to Real Madrid’s insistence to insert a buy-back option on the Reguilon’s deal.
Jose Mourinho’s side is strengthening the team after the opening league day defeat to Everton. Calvert-Lewin solitary goal gifts Everton all the three points at the White Hart Lane last Saturday.
Mourinho and Tottenham will be looking forward to returning to the UEFA Champions League next season after missing out this season.
