Tom’s next major roles came in 2013, when he featured as Richard Harrington in the sci-fi adventure “The Last Days On Mars”, and was then selected to portray Anthony ‘Tony’ Foyle, Viscount Gillingham in the ITV historical period drama series “Downton Abbey”, from 2013 to 2014, jointly winning the 2016 Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series and increasing his net worth by a large margin. Afterwards he played Ardavan in the 2014 biographical drama film “Desert Dancer”, directed by Richard Raymond and based on the true story of self-taught Iranian dancer Afshin Ghaffarian.
