The current wave of insecurity in the South-East has attracted the attention of youth leaders who today embarked on protest against the Ebubeagu security outfit in Aba, Abia State.

Under the aegis of Coalition of South East Youth Leaders, the youths alleged the Ebubeagu outfit is a militia set up by some governors to annihilate Igbo youths.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, congratulated a 16-year-old Nigerian girl, Iyeneobong Essien, for finishing second at the Champion of Champions World Golf Championship Invitational in Northern Ireland.


President Buhari’s congratulatory message is contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.

The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has ordered the closure of all brothels harbouring prostitutes in the state.

Former House of Representatives member, Hon. Jonathan Asake, on Tuesday, officially stepped down as the President of the Southern Kaduna People’s Union, an umbrella body of the southern Kaduna people in the state.
