Former Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, and former Governor of old Abia State, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, has said that contrary to reports making the rounds, he has not at any time endorsed the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi for the presidency come 2023.
Onu, who himself sought and lost the bid to become presidential flag bearer for the All Progressive Congress (APC) ahead of the 2023 election, said his loyalties remain with the ruling party and as such, all reports of his involvement in any form of anti-party activity should be disregarded.
APC blames Jonathan for ‘incubating terrorism.
The All Progressives Congress says it will be unfair for anybody to label the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), a failure for not quelling the nation’s insecurity challenges.
The ruling party alleged that the immediate past administration of President Goodluck Jonathan was responsible for condoning insurgency and banditry until it became full-blown.

The APC also accused the Peoples Democratic Party of being insensitive by leading other opposition members to rebel against the President over what should be a collective fight against terrorism.

Alhaji Abubakar Kurun-Kuku, a chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi state have defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state alongside his supporters.
Kurun-Kuku and his supporters defected to APC at Maiyama Local Government Area of the State.

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni on Wednesday mourned the sudden demise of Commissioner for Youths and Sportsz and former member House of Representatives, Hon. Goni Bukar Lawan who died in a ghastly motor accident on Tuesday evening along Damaturu-Kano road. Buni described the death as a huge loss to his family, Yobe state and Nigeria as a whole.
