This is a fight to wake us up from our deep sleep of 60 years, the repression is enough, the silence needs to be broken by someone and now is the time to act upon it, the youths have stepped forward to speak up against police brutality and to revive the lost hope of Nigerians.

The strong-willed youths will not succumb to any kind of threat planned by whosoever wishes to disrupt the EndSARS protests, because we are here to make a great change to the nation, we are here to revise the bad records, we are here to restore our image as a Nigerian, to flush out erring police, and demand for our right as a citizen.

The youth’s unflinching determination is stronger than any force, undoubtedly, therefore the EndSARS protests continue to rise beyond the expectation of the leaders, protesters unrelenting fight for the greater good is unshakeable, the unity is inseparable, the bond is unbreakable as long as the vision still focuses on the goal without compromising the commitment towards achieving the aim of the protests.

We have all endured the hardship for decades, no changes and yet they joyfully celebrates Independence Day with no shame, they ought to be proud because they benefitted more from Nigeria’s wealth than the true Nigerians. This is the first time in the history of Nigeria that the aggrieved youths are voicing out against injustice with massive support and recognition internationally; this shows that the people’s voice is so powerful beyond borders.

They have forgotten that the youths are resilient; this is how we have been trained to survive in this nation, thus, nothing can demoralize us. Whoever it is that sent thugs and orchestrated the attack on EndSARS protesters at Ikeja has failed to achieve it purpose because the youths will not stoop so low to become one of them, the hooligans were seen alighting from a government bus (BRT), which made the public to conclude it is a sponsored attack to disrupt and disperse the protesters, they are popularly known as Agbero boys who happened to be under the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), MC Oluomo is the chairman of the union.

Majority speculates this to be a joint agreement between the politicians and MC Oluomo from the outlook, it is believed this touts cannot act willingly without any other from above, and that is a fact belief from Lagosians. They were seen in the viral video with different kinds of weapons; knives, machetes, cutlasses, sticks, etcetera at Alausa Government office chasing protesters and even stabbed some, while the police were seen standing opposite the hoodlums and saw the pandemonium happening before them but never attempted to intercept the incident.

One of the thugs picture was captured and shared on various social media to expose him and his identity has been found to be Adagun Osha, operates in Mushim, which drags Baba Alado into the scene, the head of Mushin Agbero.

This unwillingness of the police to act up professionally denotes they are supportive of the violent act displayed, other than that, what could possibly make a police officer to overlook such a life-threatening situation, at this point I do not know the duty of a police officer in this country, who should police officers protect, criminals or innocent citizens? Are they really assigned to protect us? Why turn against the youths for protesting against police brutality? This is the same cause we are fighting for and it keeps increasing daily.

The same strategy was used to attack protesters in Abuja, the hoodlums carried sticks and destroyed protesters cars and chased them, fortunately, some thugs were caught and beaten to a pulp, afterwards, they called an ambulance to transport them to the hospital for treatment before handing them over to the authorities that will find out the mastermind behind the organized crime.

Another tragic incident happened on Thursday, the protesters in Jos posted a video on twitter which revealed how the police were firing real bullets at them, with loud gunshots sound emanating from different angles, some were seen running, while others surrendered on the ground, the people charged with the responsibility to protect our lives, are the ones willing to murder us. The IGP and governors can see the erring law enforcement agents terrorizing the citizens.

This simply looks like staging a war against unarmed citizens, why is it impossible to see the pains of the youths? No form of violence during protests, no weapons, they still want to reduce the crowd by killing citizens, which constitution supports extrajudicial killings? How can the government we voted condoned police mistreatment, brutality, killing, without a quick order to halt their wicked act, also, no punitive measures towards the outlaw and miscreant police?

The Lagos State Governor, Sanwo-Olu, says the state did not sponsor armed thugs to attack protesters in the Alausa area of the state. MC Oluomo and Baba Alado have both debunked the allegation of sponsoring Alausa attack, saying they are not aware of the incident and gave no order to attack the protesters. Baba Alado said; he had no reason to attack any protester, adding that anyone they catch with cutlass should face justice.

The youths undivided goal is still firm in spites of all these dangerous challenges encountered during the protests; tear gas was thrown at them, gunshots at them, hoodlums attacks, name it, they withstood all these risking their lives, some sacrificed theirs for the nation that neglects them, this fight is beyond the governments unless they are ready to do the needful and do justice to our fellow citizens that were murdered by the police force.

The belief is so strong that no human can be greater than the Almighty. They will forever be remembered for their bravery, determination, sacrifice, endurance and their strong passion to make Nigeria a better nation.

I am a proud Nigerian youth and I condemn police brutality #EndSARS, #EndSWAT #EndPolice brutality #Reform police.
