TB Joshua Death Throws Dark Clouds Over Christian Communities As Mourners Troop To SCOAN
The Death of Pastor TB Joshua of the Synagogue Christ for all Nations Church (SCOAN) Ikotun Lagos state has thrown a dark cloud over the Christian communities in Lagos and Nigeria and also the tourism industry in the country. Pastor TB Joshua was not just a prophet who preached the gospel but was someone who touched the lives of many poor people. Unlike many others, He was one pastor who actually reached out to poor people and always tried to help them.
Since the announcement of his death broke up in the early hours of Sunday, mourners and sympathizers were seen trooping to the sealed Synagogue Christ for all Nations Church (SCOAN) Ikotun Lagos.
The announcement of the death of Pastor TB Joshua was made on the church official and verified Facebook page. The statement reads; “Prophet TB Joshua – June 12th 1963 to June 5th 2021,”
“On Saturday 5th June 2021, Prophet TB Joshua spoke during the Emmanuel TV Partners Meeting: “Time for everything – time to come here for prayer and time to return home after the service.” “God has taken His servant Prophet TB Joshua home – as it should be by divine will. His last moments on earth were spent in the service of God. This is what he was born for, lived for and died for.”
“Here are Prophet TB Joshua’s last words: “Watch and pray.” “One life for Christ is all we have; one life for Christ is so dear,” the statement read.
However, the cause of his death was not revealed. The death of TB Joshua comes as a big shock to the Christian communities in Nigeria and the Nigerian tourism industry. The Synagogue Christ for all Nations Church (SCOAN) Ikotun Lagos was also a major tourist attraction in the country. In 2018 according to official records and figures released by the Nigerian Immigration Service indicated that 6 out of every 10 foreign travellers coming into Nigeria were bound for Synagogue Church and over 2m local tourists visit the church.
