Super League: Arsenal, eleven others to face UEFA sanction
Arsenal football club and eleven other European teams have jointly announced their decision to be part of the football Super League.
The other teams in the football Super League are Spanish giants, Real Madrid, Athletico Madrid and Barcelona. Italian giants Juventus, Internazionale and AC Milan also joined the newly formed Super League while the other English Premier League teams are Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United United, Liverpool and Tottenham.
FIFA, UEFA, Serie A, La Liga, EPL have disapproved of the Super League formation and are prepared to sanction the 12 teams.
The Union of European football has announced that the twelve teams that made up the Super League will not participate in the UEFA Champions League and their respective domestic leagues.
Meanwhile, the Super League body is still talking to some European League teams to join the new league to make it 15 teams across Europe as UEFA Executive Committee is set to meet today.
Arsenal and other teams willing to participate in the newly formed Super League will get €3.5b for the infrastructure development plan and to offset the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak.
