” Sunday Igboho Is The Current Asiwaju Of Yoruba While Tinubu Is Asiwaju Of Politics”- Angry Nigerian
Many Yorubas I’ve been reacting lately on the bravery and anticipations of Sunday Igboho, the Oyo state activist over the onslaught he carried out on the Fulanis residents of the Ibarapa community at Gangan.
Many soteriological encomiums as been poured on Sunday Igboho as he fulfilled his plan to attack the Fulanis residents after he gave them a seven days ultimatum in which they refused to vacate the land because they had followed the directives from the state governor.
However, many Yorubas had cherished the ability of Sunday Igboho’s courage to have defied the directives of the governor of the state.
All these affronts which Sunday Igboho surpassed are what resulted to the eulogies from his Yoruba brothers; now some have regarded Sunday Igboho as the Asiwaju of the Yoruba, which means since Sunday Igboho have the guts to do what he has done, he is worthy to be extolled. Moreover, the only Asiwaju in the Yorubaland is Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the national leader of APC, but the Yorubas I’ve been pouring the encomium on Sunday Igboho just because he was able to stand in the point of adversities all because of his people.
Furthermore, some of the Yorubas had believed that all that Igboho was doing is the duty of Bola Ahmed Tinubu because Asiwaju means the leader, thus they believed Bola Tinubu supposed to lead such confrontations in favour of his people.
Many insinuated that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu had been acting in favour of the Fulanis, especially when he pays Pa Fasoranti a condolence visit during the period the daughter of the old man was murdered by herdsmen along Benin/Ore road, they accused Bola Tinubu of soliciting on behalf of Fulanis when he made a statement that there was no cow in the portion where Pa Fasoranti’s daughter was killed.
Thus a certain Oluyemi Fasipe, a Yoruba man who is a Youth advocate from Ondo had criticized Bola Tinubu, that he is the Asiwaju in terms of political parties and not in terms of warfare.
He made it clear that Sunday Igboho is the current Asiwaju of the Yorubas just because of his profound valor against the Yorubas usurpers.
