Stucked Filippino nurses of the Kuwait Ministry of health appealed to the Kuwait government authorities to allow them into the country to enable them start working.
This appeal came after 116 stranded indian nurses were allowed in despite the fact that the country banned 34 countries with high cases of covid-19 including india and philippines.
Despite having 5, 818,570 confirmed coronavirus cases indian nurses were still allowed in while the philippines that has 296,755 cases were not allowed in.
while speaking to Arab times on the phone, one of the Filippino nurses appealed to Kuwait’s Minster of health to allow them in to enable them help the country fight covid-19.

“We are appealing to the kindness of the Health Minister Dr. Basil Al-Sabah to please allow us to enter Kuwait. We want to go back to work and help in its fight against COVID-19,” appealed one of the Filippino nurses who spoke to the Arab Times over the phone.
Most of the stranded Philippinos agree to fly through dubai but they can’t do so due to financial reasons.
“As much as we want to fly via Dubai but we can’t do so due to financial reasons. Most of us don’t have money anymore. We hope to be back to the country soon,” stated one of the Filippino nurses said to the Arab Times over the phone.
“We have already sent a note verbale to the Kuwait Ministry of Health last July. The decision is now in the hands of Health Minister Dr. Basil Al-Sabah. We are hoping that they will consider our request for the immediate return of our stranded MOH nurses,” stated Philippine Ambassador to Kuwait Mohd Noordin Pendosina Lomondot via a text message sent to the Arab Times.
