Former Manchester United defender and England football legend Rio Ferdinand showers praise on fellow countryman Lewis Hamilton after the formula one driver won the Turkish Grand Prix today to claims his 7th formula one title and also tied with racing great Micheal Schumacker.

“Just watched @LewisHamilton drive to his 7th World title 👑
The greatest sportsman this country has ever produced – no doubts” says Rio Feedinand.

Hamilton started the race on the sixth grip in a wet Istanbul race but ended up with his seventh-title and becomes the most successful formula one driver alongside fellow Briton Micheal Schumacher.

The British driver now has 94 race wins in a spectacular career where he is arguably the best to ever grace the sport.

The Mercedes driver has the record for most victories, pole positions and podiums and points appearance to become the greatest driver.

Statistically,Hamilton is the greatest formula one driver ever after his 7the formula one title win in Turkey to equal Micheal Schumacker’s number of wins.

“I’ve got to say thank you to my family. We dreamed of this when we were young, watching the Grand Prix, and this is way, way beyond our dreams. It’s so important for kids – dream the impossible. You’ve got to work for it, chase it, and never give up or doubt yourself” says Hamilton after the victory.
