Sad: Mourning in Aso Rock as Another of buhari’s close ally kicked the bucket
Aso Rock Occupants are currently mourning as another relatively unknown ally and associate of President Muhammadu buhari, Wada Maida passed on on Monday after slumping in Abuja.
Waida Maida served as President Muhammadu buhari’s spokesperson and Chief Press Secretary when he was the then military head of state between 1983 and 1985.
Despite buhari’s sacked from power close to 40 years ago, Maida maintained his close relationship with the President both within and outside power.
late Maida was appointed chairman of News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) board of directors in 2007.
“Waida is a very dedicated, hardworking, and loyal professional for whom I have the deepest respect and admiration” says President buhari in his tribute to his late friend.
Two of our President buhari’s long-term allies and associate has passed on this year alone.
First was Abba Kyari, the President former chief of staff who passed on this year after contracting the deadly COVID-19 disease after a return from Germany where he went to represent Nigeria in an energy deal.
Abba Kyari was the president Chief of Staff for five years until his death this year.
Following his death, buhari appointed Ibrahim Agboola Gambari as a replacement for the Borno-born erudite administrator.
Late Funtua was a veteran journalist and the founder of defunct Democratic Newspaper and also former president of Newspaper Proprietors Association of Nigeria(NPAN).
Meanwhile, the social media was awash this week with the news but a popular online medium that another of the President ally, Maman Daura is sick and currently receiving treatment in the UK.
Relatives of Maman Daura has now confirmed to newsmen that he is hale and hearty and online traveled to the United Kingdom for a routine medical check-up.
