Newly reappointed chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission Mahmoud Yakubu has been sworn in for a second term in office.
He was sworn in at the presidential villa ahead of Wednesday’s Federal Executive council meeting.
President Muhammadu buhari reappointed Yakubu for another five years in October making him the first chairman to be reappointed into that office.
Speaking to journalists after his swearing-in, the INEC boss said elections would continue to get better in the country.
He said preparations for the 2023 elections have begun
