PDP Blows Hot, Accuse Imo State Governor of Hijacking FG’s 774,000 Jobs.
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Imo State chapter has accused the governor of the state, Senator Hope Uzodinma, of hijacking the Federal Government’s 774,000 jobs supervised by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment. The Punch reported.
According to a statement released by the opposition party in Imo State and signed by its Publicity Secretary, Ogubundu Nwadike, the party alleged that Governor Hope Uzodinma has decided to share the slots for the job among is supporters and party loyalists alone.
The PDP fumed, saying that it is worrisome and unacceptable that the governor shared the 27,000 slots allocated to the good people to Imo State among his political family.
The opposition party said it vehemently reject the move by the state government to corner the 27000 jobs for his supporters.
In reaction to PDP’s statement, the Special Assistant to Governor Hope Uzodinma on Print Media, Modestus Nwamkpa, knocked the PDP, saying the opposition is not a license to irresponsible. He said the governor as not and will never hijack the job meant for good people of Imo State.
The Federal Government has concluded the plan to employ 774,000 unemployed youths from the 774 local government areas across the federation. Each local government has 1000 slots each.
