Ortom Don’t Lick that Tom Tom – Shehu Sani Tells Benue Gov as APC Persuades Him to Rejoin the Party.
Former Senator representing Kaduna State at the National Assembly, Shehu Sani, has advised Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, not to rejoin the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Punch had earlier reported that the Governor said the All Progressives Congress has been persuading him to rejoin the party he left about two years ago ahead of the 2023 elections.
Ortom who disclosed this at the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Congress at Makurdi recently said he rejected the offer after due consultation with some of his close allies and bigwigs of the PDP.
Ortom said he will be in the People’s Democratic Party till the end of his tenure in 2023.
In reaction to the news, Senator Shehu Sani on twitter told the governor not to rejoin the ruling party.
“Ortom don’t lick that TomTom,” Sani tells Ortom on Twitter.
Shehu Sani also dumped the All Progressives Congress in the build-up to the 2019 general election after he was denied the ticket to rerun for his seat by the party. Since Shehu Sani has been a staunch critic of the ruling party and President Muhammad buhari’s administration.
