The people of Benin the capital of Edo state, have been witnessing another period of terror in the state. The youths cultists have resumed their egregious activities, since some days after the EndSARS protests became violent.

The act was observed in entire Nigeria after some unknown soldiers, attacked and killed several Nigeria youths orotesters at Lekki in Lagos state.
What follows afterward was different violence seen in different states in Nigeria, thus several police stations were burnt and myriads of guns were stolen.

However, in Benin-city, it was a different story entirely, there was a jailbreak at Sapele road, and numerous inmate escaped.
Many of the escapees are the ones guilty of the violence that ensued in the town.

Be that as it may, cultist violence is not new in Nigeria and it had appeared as if Benin-city is there may stay because cult violence occurred often in the city.

That’s what led to the motive behind the Issakaba cult group that the Oba of Benin brought to the city, during the early part of this year.

During the period all the cultists went into hiding, the Issakaba cultist is entering into houses to fetch the youths cultists to the extent that many ran away from Benin-city.

It was obvious that the Issakaba cult is the only cult group that can tackle their activities, on Friday 13th of November, 2020, the cultist ambushed some policemen and shot two inspectors and their assistant commissioner of police.

The ACP died at UBTH on Saturday while the two inspectors are receiving treatment at the said hospital.

At this juncture, I will advise the Oba of Benin to still bring the Issakaba cultists back, and the Nigerian government should please increase the gravity of its chastisement for all the cultists to be more afraid of the law of the land.
