Old English Bakery and superstore in Lagos distributes free loaves of bread to residents of the State in all its outlets.
This is part of the company’s way of contributing to the Lagos state sustainable development goals week and part of the company contribution to a greater Lagos. The giveaway took place simultaneously in all the firm’s outlets across the State as thousands of residents trouped in to partake in the offering.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Superstore, Mr. Akogun Lanre Alfred appreciated the State Government for being proactive in its program towards meeting the basic and sensitive needs of the people, particularly during the COVID-19 period.
While applauding the Old English Bakery and Superstore for their immeasurable support, the Lagos state has encouraged all to work together towards the Zero Hunger vision in the state.
The SA to the Governor on Sustainable Development Goals and Investment, Mrs. Solape Hammond described the initiative as a determined effort to create a structure that will provide progressive partners and an enabling environment to support the sustainable development agenda.
Mrs. Hammond affirmed that the State Government is committed to comprehensive, integrated, and transformation programmes to end hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition, and promote development.
