Michael Strahan, a former NFL star, closes his infamous tooth gap.
Michael Strahan, a former NFL player and TV host, has a new reason to smile.
Strahan, who played for the New York Giants for his entire 15-year NFL career, recently underwent a procedure to close the famous gap between his two front teeth.
The co-host of Good Morning America posted a video from the procedure, describing it as “50 years in the making.”
He told Elle in 2012, “I was on the verge of shutting it down. I was getting mock-ups done at the dentist. I considered it, man.”
“There’s a lot of pressure to be flawless. All is now under your control. ‘This is who I am,’ I made a deliberate effort to say. I’m not without flaws. I’m not trying to be fine, “He went on to say more. “I don’t think my kids would remember me without it at this stage. ‘Who is this stranger in the house?’ they’d wonder. ‘Dial 911!'”
