Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Sit-At-Home Order Receive Compliance, Create Suspense: PHOTOS
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu sit-at-home order has received compliance as many roads and markets in the five southeastern states were seen empty. The Sit-At-Home order also created a bit of suspense and apprehension around major towns and cities in the Southeast Igbo States.
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu gave the order during a radio Biafra transmission in other to honour the more than 3 million Igbos who lost their lives in the Nigeria Civil War from 1967 to 1970.
In recent months there have been apprehensions in the South-East state, following the many killings and attack on various police formation by what has been tagged, unknown gunmen. Just last week a former aide to President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and Chieftain of the All progressive Congress Ahmed Gulak was killed by unknown gunmen in Owerri the Imo State capital.
Going around major roads in the Southeast, one could taste the apprehension and suspense with his tongue. New Heaven, Abakpa and Nike Lake roads are some of the busiest roads in Enugu which happen to be some of the busiest roads in Enugu state were like a ghost town as no single person was seen on the road due to the sit-at-home order by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
The entrance to the Onitsha Main Market chained and shops and stores were under lock and keys as businessmen and women give total compliance to the sit-at-home order. Many people and residents of the 5 southeastern states are faced with fear and have attributed the total compliance on the sit-at-home order issued by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu leader of the proscribed group, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB ) to fear of been attacked by unknown gunmen.
