The governor of Kaduna state Mallam Nasiru El-Rufai who tested positive to the COVID-19 virus four weeks ago has tested negative to the virus after receiving treatment and has been discharged from the treatment and isolation facility.

The information which was made public a few minutes ago on the official Twitter handle of the kaduna state governor @GovKaduna said quoted the governor

“I am delighted to report today, that after nearly four weeks of observing a strict medical regime, I have now received the all-clear after two consecutive negative test results”

“I thank Almighty Allah for His grace and mercy. I also acknowledge with gratitude the massive outpouring of sympathy, prayers and public support that followed the disclosure of the infection.”

The governor also thanked the medical personnel of the Kaduna Ministry of Health and the health workers Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital who managed his case with dedicated and professional care.

Governor El-rufia also thanks to his deputy Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, for her leadership during his absence. The governor who tested positive to the COVID-19 virus in March, has fully recovered and will resume office immediately to continue his fight against COVID-19 in the state.
