The Bishop of Rome, Pope Francis has sent his support to the EndSars movement after he tweeted that prayers should be sent to Nigeria due to the unrest that has loomed in all parts of the country.
Pope Francis wrote, “Let us pray to the Lord for Nigeria, so that every form of violence might always be avoided, in the constant search of social harmony through the promotion of justice and the common good.”
The crime rate in Nigeria has increased since the Nigerian youths decided to stand up for their rights by beginning with EndSars which is a form of putting an end to police brutality.
The peaceful protest has been ongoing for over 2 weeks until it was hijacked by hoodlums who find it interesting in looting shops, burning police stations, and attacking peaceful protesters.
A day Nigerians will never forget was the day the Nigerian government decided to massacre its citizens by sending the Nigerian army to shoot peaceful protesters which left many killed and a few injured.
