Lawma officials were caught on camera extorting money from an unsuspecting Nigerians for vehicle wastebasket.
In the video currently trending on the microblog, Twitter shows a Lagos State waste management (Lawma official) who accosted a man asking him to pay 3500 for Lagos State wastebasket.
The Lawma officials told the unsuspecting Nigerian man that the wastebasket he is using in his vehicle is that of Ekiti state and it was illegal for him to use it in Lagos. He said since the vehicle was carrying a Lagos State number plate and register in Lagos, he should be using a Lagos State wastebasket.
Nigerians have reacted to the video and the question people are asking is that does it mean that a car should have 36 wastebaskets in it since it means one state to one wastebasket.
