Kubrat Pulev, world title challenger has claimed he is fully ready to beat unified world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua on Saturday, 12th of December. Should this happen, all plans to have an all-British undisputed showdown with WBC title holder, Tyson Fury next year will be impossible.
Meanwhile, veteran Top Rank CEO, Bob Arum, who promotes both Pulev and Fury also believes so much that Pulev will knockout Anthony Joshua, that he has already gone to work, searching for new opponents for Tyson Fury in 2021.
The match this weekend, will be the first time the 31-year-old Joshua (24-23-1, 21KOs) will be stepping in the boxing ring since reclaiming his titles from Mexican-American Andy Ruiz Jr in Saudi Arabia this time last year.
39-year-old Kubrat Pulev (28-1, 14KOs) who has only been beaten once in his career up until now. That was his first world title challenge against long-reigning unified champion Wladimir Klitschko back in 2014.
Pulev would have faced Joshua in Cardiff in October 2017, but had to pull out from the match, barely 10 days before the D-day due to a shoulder injury.
Covid-19 outbreak also ensured that the mandatory clash that was scheduled to take place by June at Tottenham Hotspur’s 62,000-seater stadium didn’t happen. Now that the match is finally happening on Saturday, and with the return of about 1,000 fans to Wembley Arena to witness the fight between Kubrat Pulev and Anthony Joshua, who do you reckon will win?
