JUST IN: Huge Scandal Rocks N-Power Ahead of Portal Opening As Evidence of Slots Allocation Leaks

Scandal rocks N-Power Boss

The N-Power programme under the leadership of Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq are in the news for the wrongest of reasons. According to reports by Sahara Reporters, the ministry has given out over 50,000 slots to Nigerian lawmakers ahead of the official opening of registration portal tonight.

You would recall that earlier today, N-power officially announced that all registrations that Nigerians have done on their site so far are null and void. This they said was because the unemployed youths couldn’t follow simple instructions, which stated that the registration opens today, 26th June by 11:45 pm.

However, if reports filtering in at this time is anything to go by, the N-Power scheme has been embroiled in some irregularities.

N-Power is one of the schemes in the National Social Investments Programme introduced by the President Muhammadu Buhari administration to address the alarming rate of unemployment in the country.

However, SaharaReporters gathered that the ministry has allocated about 50,000 slots to federal lawmakers and other politicians across the country.

From pictorial evidences that i’m about to show you, you would see for yourselves how Nigerian lawmakers have printed registration forms of N-Power which they have allegedly shared among their cronies. What now is the fate of the average Nigerian?

Some of the lawmakers, who received slots under the corrupt scheme include President of the National Assembly, Ahmad Lawan; Senator Abdul Ningi; and Speaker of Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abubakar Y Suleiman.

This would not only thwart the vision for the creation of the scheme but also deny ordinary Nigerians the opportunity to partake in the scheme.

Recall that back in April, thee lawmakers pressured Sadiya Farouq to allow them interfere in the NSIP.

Guess the lawmakers have finally had their way to benefit from the conditional cash transfers in the country as well as other schemes under Farouq after reportedly meeting with her.
