European superpower France have placed a fine of $593M on tech giant, Google for the use of Publishers’ content under the European Union copyright rules.

France is challenging Google for using publishers’ content on their platform without permission and they are set to pay huge penalty for it.

According to reports, if Google failed to pay the fine of $593M within two weeks of the sanction, Google faces an additional fine of $1M daily until the money is paid.

Google is yet to react to the fine imposed on it by the France Government over its use of publishers’ content without their permission.

Illegal use of content is a serious violation of copyright rules in any part of the world and it attracts serious sanctions.
