Just In: Federal Government Orders New Covid19 Restrictions
Federal Government has ordered new New Covid19 Restrictions following the growing case of Covid19 in the country.
The Presidential Task Force on Covid19 (PTF) has ordered that Bars, Night Clubs To Close down, while also suggesting that Schools across the country should remain shut until January 18 as against the decision of schools to resume the next term by January 4, 2021.
Among the new covid19 restrictionnnns put in place include closure of events centers, events including weddings, conferences, congresses, office parties, concerts, seminars, sporting activities, end of year events should nt exceed 50 persons.
All Federal government civil servants on Grade Levels 12 and below are to work form home for the next five weeks effective from this week monday.
All restaurants except those providing services to hotel residents; takeaways, home deliveries and drive-ins shall remain closed. Gathering at religious centers is now limited 50 per cent capacity of the facility of use during which physical distancing and mandatory use of face masks shall be strictly enforced.
Public transportation systems are to carry passengers not more than 50 per cent of their capacity in compliance with social distancing rules while wearing of face masks in public is mandatory.
The new Covid19 restrictions are to help address the growing Covidd19 cases across the country. The Lagos state government has also put new lockdown measures in place after it ordered the closure of clubs, schools, and religious centers.
The Lagos state government has also asked civil servants below the rank of level 12 to work from home. Other states who have also put new Covid19 restrictions in place include Kano, Jigawa, Kaduna which had ordered the closure of schools till further notice.
The growing rate of Covid19 across the country is largely due to the flouting of Covid19 guidelines and the new Covid19 restrictions are the only option for the government to manage the impending health crises.
