The terrorist group Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) suffers heavy losses following hammering by troops of the Nigeria Army back led by the Nigeria Airforce jets.

According to reports troops of the Nigerian army, backed by Nigeria Airforce jets killed dozens of ISWAP insurgents and arrested a Chadian kidnapper. ISWAP insurgents embarked on an act of revenge but “reckless” attacks on troops positions in several locations in Gujba in Yobe, Magumeri in Borno, and Mubi in Adamawa following the destruction of ISWAP logistics base in Damboa.

In an Air raid on the logistic base, the Nigeria Airforce destroyed the base, while also Killing more than 50 fighters and dislodging several others ISWAP terrorists. In that strike, their commander named Umar Tela was reportedly killed.

A large number of ISWAP technical vehicles, gun trucks, and other logistics facilities were as well destroyed in the process. In the same vein, the troops of the Nigerian army captured a notorious Chadian kidnapper.

As early as the 5th of June Army Intelligence got wind of a notorious kidnapping syndicate, the leader of the syndicate is a Chadian who goes by the name Mohammed Maki. He was captured in a raid. Troops also recovered large caches of arms in the course of the operations.
