151 people who were being transported in a truck by the Ondo State Security Network Agency, better known as the Amotekun Corps, have been apprehended.

According to information obtained, the corps made the arrest in response to information about a terrorist invasion into the South-West of Nigeria.

Inside the trailer, five women were among the suspects; they were concealed by bean and rice sacks.

They were stopped by corps members who were conducting a “stop and search” on Thursday around the Sango region of the Akure-Ado Expressway after becoming suspicious of their movements.

The suspects, according to the state commander of Amotekun, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, were hidden inside the vehicle behind bags of rice.

According to reports, the suspects were traveling to South-West states from Kastina, Kano, and Jigawa states.

“Some of them claimed to be from Kastina, Kano, and Jigawa States; however, when asked how they got together, they indicated they couldn’t understand how it happened but claimed to have been transported by truck all the way to Akure in Ondo State,” he explained.
