In Just Five Days That Foodstuffs Supply From North Have Been Seized See What Southerners Are Saying
There is no denying that things are gradually turning in the wrong directions in Nigeria, ever since the Northern people resolved to seized from transporting goods to the region.
The apparent truth is that the Hausas in the Northern part of Nigeria are now taking their goods to neighbouring countries such as Niger and others to sell.
The condition on the ground is that the Nigerians leaders are dumbfounded, they are unable to put things under control.
However, it has been revealed that most foodstuffs that are consumed in the Southern part of Nigeria are from the North and since the Northerners have deliberately stopped the transportation of goods to the Southern region things have been gradually changing.
Commonly, most people know that a place where cattle is slaughtered for consumption is in Lagos, the place is called an abattoir, but today all the Southern women who went to the abattoir to buy meat came back with their money because the butchers complained that there was no cow to kill.
More so, the problems that faced the Southeast people is not meat alone foodstuffs have been very expensive to buy, tomatoes that are sold #50 is just 3 unlike before that #100 tomatoes is enough to prepare a pot of soup.
Another essential foodstuff is the local rice that is about to be extortionate and especially onions that are not grown in the Southwest, everything is now taken down to the neighbouring countries.
Is this how we will be looking till a matter that needs to be settled amicably turned into national problems.
At this juncture, I will only beseech the Nigerians to have a rethink, even though those goods are being taken to the neighbouring countries, the consumption is what the Northerners must consider because I’m sure those countries cannot withstand what the Southerners alone can consume.
Again all that we are doing is to split our country, despite all our expectations of one nation.
Finally, it will be very good if the president of the federal republic of Nigeria can intervene, that is the only solution to the problems on the ground now.
