How School Children, 20 Others Brunt to Death in Petrol Tanker Accident in Lokoja
Not less than 20 persons including school children were burnt to death in Lokoja capital city of Kogi State on Wednesday morning after petrol exploded. Sahara Reporters reported.
Among those burnt to death are school children, traders, and pedestrians along Lokoja-Abuja Road.
The actual number of casualties is yet to be determined now but it said to be more than twenty persons.
It was gathered that the petrol tanker had a brake failure and rammed into a tricycle on the road. The tanker exploded immediately and the fire spread speedily.
Firefighters and other emergency agencies are currently on the scene of the fatal accident.
