Hoodlums Attacked Police station, Carted Away Seven AK 47 Rifles
Some hoodlums under the guise of EndSars protest had attacked a police station at the dark
hour of Tuesday and carted away seven AK 47 rifles.
The said hoodlums also set ablaze a Hilux patrol van parked in the police station’s compound, attacked the policemen in the station, and carted away seven Ak 47 rifles at Ikwo local government in Ebonyi state.
According to the policemen, they were about to set the police station ablaze when some policemen were deployed from other stations.
The hoodlums searched several officers in the station for more ammunitions, but they later flee on sighting the approaching policemen.
The chairman of Ikwo local government, Stephen Orogwu, condemned the act and assured that several searches against the culprits would commence immediately. Anyone caught behind the attack will be seriously dealt with.
It is so disappointing to know that this happened when the Nigerian citizens are still protesting peacefully in demanding justice over what transpired between the Nigerian soldiers and the youths murdered at Lekki tollgate in Lagos state.
A policeman who pleaded anonymity made it clear that the police station’s DPO is in a severe problem, mostly when seven AK 47 had been stolen, except the gun are found that he may be free from the troubles that will follow.
