Harry and Meghan requested a photograph of Archie, which they had shared on his second birthday.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been chastised for releasing a new photo of their son to commemorate his second birthday.
Archie is seen carrying balloons while facing away from the camera at the couple’s $14 million Montecito home.
It’s not the first time Meghan, 39, and Harry, 36, have shared an official picture without Archie’s face visible. Archie’s face was also concealed in a picture released to commemorate International Women’s Day, with his head turned into his mother’s lap.
Also, their 2020 Christmas card was an image of the family of three, made from a photograph taken by Meghan’s mother, rather than a photo of the child.
Royal fans took to Twitter to express their dissatisfaction with the most recent update for Archie’s birthday.
“Archie’s top-secret face, that’s crazy,” one Twitter user said.
Another person stated: “Is it because they’re embarrassed to display Archie’s face? I’m sure he’s a little 2-year-old boy who’s having a great time blowing up his balloons.”
A third has been added: “Is it because it isn’t him or that they are just so pretentious that they never reveal his face? We see William and Catherine’s children all the time, so why not Archie?”
