Good News: Nigeria Record Lowest Cases of COVID-19 Since April.
There is an indication that the coronavirus pandemic is gradually leaving the country. The number of cases recorded by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday evening is the lowest since April.
79 new cases of the virus were recorded in Nigeria yesterday.
The total number of confirmed cases is 56,256 while 44,152 have recovered and discharged and 1,082 as a result of the pandemic.
This is good news because the country once recorded about 500 to 1000 cases in a single day. If the number continues to go down like this, Nigeria might be declared Covid-19 free in the next month.
The Covid-19 pandemic entered Nigeria in late February through an Italian national.
The disease has seriously affected the country’s economy, schools were shut down and many other sectors were affected.
Nigerians can’t wait for the virus to finally leave the country.
