The EC administrator, Jean Mensa, on Wednesday, announced President Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) victor of the official vote with 6,730,587 votes (51.302%) while Mr Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) got 6,213,182 votes (47.359%.)

In the Parliamentary political race, the EC said the NPP has 137 seats in the 275-seat House while the NDC has 136. One seat is yet to be announced while one free applicant, who inclines to the NPP, likewise won a seat.
