Willian sends a message to Arsenal fans after the Brazilian joined Arsenal from Chelsea on a three-year deal after his contract with Chelsea expired this summer.

Willian joined Chelsea in 2013 from Anzhi Makhachkala in Russia after a stint in Neighboring Ukraine for Shakhtar Donetsk.

“They have a new project with Mikel Arteta. I think this club deserves to shine again and I want to be a part of this project – to be a part of the Arsenal family is amazing” says Willian during his first interview.

“It will take time but with Willian, we’ve started a big process. We’ve identified the needs in the squad and he’s the one to start to rebalance the squad as we want to” according to Arsenal’s technical director Edu.

Meanwhile, Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has some praises for the Brazilian winger. “It is the character that I want. The kind of player that when things get difficult in the game that wants to take responsibility, wants the ball and wants to win the game for the team.”

Willian will be bringing experience and width to the Arsenal attack next season. The Brazilian will be a big threat to the opposition next season with his skills on set pieces.

The 32-year-old Brazil international has won the English Premier League Twice, an FA Cup trophy, and the 2018 Europa league when his former team defeat Arsenal in Baku.

Willian Borges will be playing in the Arsenal first-team next season alongside fellow Brazilians David Luiz and Gabriel Martinelli.

Arsenal who signed David Luiz from Chelsea last summer has now added another experienced player from the West Londoner to their rank.

The North London side will still be looking to signing more players to the team after thy finished 8th last season in the EPL.
