Football: Sead Kolasinac returns to former club from Arsenal
Arsenal defender,Sead Kolasinac has agreed on a loan move to Schalke 04 in Germany until the remainder of the current campaign.
Sead Kolasinac joined Schalke 04 as a youth and spent five years in Germany before moving to North London in 2017 to play for Arsenal.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina national played a crucial role as qualify for the final of the Europa League in 2018/2019 season and he also won the FA Cup with Arsenal this year for a record 14 FA Cup.
Sead played for Arsenal 133 times before his loan move with an option to buy back to Schalke 04 and. The defender struggled for playing with Arsenal this season.
“Sead needs to be playing regularly, so we have decided together that a move back to Germany with Schalke will benefit him at this moment. We will be keeping in close contact with Sead, and wish him huge success for the remainder of the season with Schalke”, reads a statement from Arsenal Technical director Edu.
Kolasinac move to Schalke 04 will be effective on January 4 after the necessary paperwork and documentation are completed.
