Pedro Rodriguez bid Chelsea fans farewell after 5 years with the West London club as he moves to Italy. The Spaniard winger joined Chelsea from Barcelona in the summer of 2015.
Pedro Rodriguez’s contract ended this summer and the Blues decides to let him go on a free transfer instead of offering him another contract.
The winger has now signed for Italian giant , AS Roma as a free transfer and we play in the Italian Serie A from next season.
“It’s been a pleasure and an honour. Thanks and good luck for the future. Come on Blues!!!” Says Pedro on his social media handle.
The 33-year-old winger had 29 goals in 137 total appearances for Chelsea in he five years sting in London. Pedro won the Premier League title, the FA Cup and the Europa League trophy during his time at Stamford Bridge.
The diminutive winger is one of the most successful Spanish players of all-time with more than 25 trophies to his name.
The 2010 World Cup winner started his career at Barcelona where he won the most titles before moving to England five years ago.
Pedro was part of the record-setting Spanish team that won the first World Cup on Africa soil in 2010.
Pedro was one of the mainstay in the Spanish national football team between 2008 and 2018, the period the team enjoyed its most successful football.
