According to Channels Television, the Nigerian federal government has affirmed that it purchased vehicles worth N1.4 billion to help the Niger Republic tackle insecurity.

The report was made known on Wednesday by the nation’s minister of finance, Zainab Ahmed, where she noted that the Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari, approved the purchase in a bid to help foster mutual growth and relationship between the two countries.
She also noted that the decision was that of the president, and she cannot question his decision, but she noted that the decision was necessary not just to help Niger Republic, but to help protect the territory of the country against the influx of bandits and terrorists.
Speaking to newsmen after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday, her reply was centered on the documents which were released on social media showing the evidence of the vehicles which were purchased and donated to the neighboring country.
