Donald Trump has once again pulled a stunt at Anthony Fauci after he said in a leaked audio that he is a disaster.
Donald Trump said in a call while speaking to his staff “People are tired of Covid. I have the biggest rallies I’ve ever had, and we have Covid,” Trump let out.
“People are saying whatever. Just leave us alone. They’re tired of it. People are tired of hearing Fauci and all these idiots.”
“Fauci is a nice guy,” Trump went on. “He’s been here for 500 years.”
Anthony Fauci ignored the attack by saying all that Donald Trump said is a distraction.
While speaking to KNX Radio in Los Angeles, he was asked if he was going to leave his job as the director of the U.S. National Institutes of Allergy and infectious diseases due to what Trump said. he responded by saying, “It depends if you take it personally. I focus totally on the health and the welfare of the people of this country. That’s what I devoted 50 years of my career towards.”
“That’s the only thing I care about. That other stuff, it’s like in ‘The Godfather’ — ‘Nothing personal, strictly business,’ as far as I’m concerned.”
“I just want to do my job and take care of the people of this country. That’s all I want to do.”
“I would prefer not to comment on that and to just get on with what we’re trying to do,” Fauci said.
“What we’re trying to do is protect the health and the welfare and the safety of the American people, predominantly, and ultimately of the world, by taking a look at the challenge that we’re facing now as we’re seeing an uptick in cases, higher than they’ve ever been,” Fauci said ignoring Trump.
“Many, many states that had been doing reasonably well are now showing upticks. That’s what we should be concentrating on,” Fauci said.
“All that other stuff is a distraction and I would prefer to stay away from that.”
