Chelsea football club is set to announce the signature of Timo Werner from Red Bull Leipzig for €55M in a matter of days according to multiple reports in Germany and England.

Timo Werner was heavily linked with Liverpool football club since January only to pull out of the deal at the last minute.

The German attacker has spoken with Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard on the phone on several occasions.

Timo Werner is expected to sign a 5-year-deal at Stamford deal in a matter of days with all paperwork at the final stage.

The Germany international and his agent are ready to accept the offer from Chelsea.

The 24-year-old striker joined Red Bull Leipzig in 2016 and has 122 appearances with 75 goals to his name.

Werner has 25 goals in 29 appearances this season in the Germany Bundesliga as one of the hottest goal poachers.

Once the deal is finalized, Werner will lead the Chelsea attack alongside Tammy Abraham next season.

Either of Olivier Giroud who recently extended his deal at Chelsea for another year or Mitchy Bashuayi is likely to be sold this summer.

Meanwhile, Chelsea has signed Ziyech from Ajax this season and are still in the market for a left-back.

Chelsea’s attack for next season will be full of young blood with Christian Pulisic and Callum Hudson-Odoi back fully fit in the team.
