Entertainment: Sanwo-Olu hosts “Ikorodu boys”, vow to develop more creative talent
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu played host to the popular young creative talents popularly known as Ikorodu Boys.
During the visit of Ikorodu boys at Alausa, Sanwo-Olu reiterates the commitment of his administration to supporting and unearthing more creative talent within Lagos State.
“Today, I welcomed generational filmmaking talent @IkoroduB, whose creativity has put them and Ikorodu on the global map of international platforms like Netflix, earned them a nomination at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards and put their faces on billboards in Times Square, NY.
As a State, we are proud of them and I thank them for visiting me today.
We are committed to developing creative talent in Lagos as we continue to serve as the premier destination for musical, art and creative talent generation in Africa”, says Sanwo-Olu after the meeting.
Ikorodu boys have gone global following their breakthrough in the creative industry in just over three years.
Sanwo-Olu, who got elected in 2019 has now promised to further develop Lagos State creative talent so as to further compete globally.
