Entertainment: Reactions trail Adele’s dress to the Notting Hill Carnival
Queen of pop, Adele is gaining diverse reactions over her Jamaican theme dress to this year Notting Hill Carnival in London, United Kingdom over the weekend.
Adele can be seen in Bantu hairstyle and a Jamaican theme bikini that she wears to the carnival.
Some black Americans and Jamaicans did not take lightly to Adele dress to the London Carnival.
“Reading tweets about Adele, it’s so strange seeing lots of non-Jamaicans trying to cancel Adele, while I see lots of Jamaicans actually praising her 4 showing appreciation to their culture. Maybe we should let people decide 4 themselves whether they think something is ok or not?” Says a concerned social media user while reacting to the attack on Adele.
“You guys just decided to cancel Adele because she posted an Instagram pic representing the Jamaican culture on the Notting Hill Carnival which is meant to share the Jamaican culture!! You’re attacking her because she had the Bantu hairstyle which was obviously done by a Jamaican” says another social media user.
Adele is arguably the most successful female Pop singer in United kingdom and the world since she launched her singing career in 2006.
Adele has numerous international awards and recognitions to her name in the 14 years and still counting singing career.
