#EndSARS Trends Again as Police Chase Two Yahoo Boys to Death in Oshogbo.
Pandemonium happened in Oshogbo, the capital city of Osun State on Tuesday evening after officers of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) chased two boys suspected to be internet fraudsters to the death.
The residents of the area lamented that the excesses of the police are too much. They move around the town searching young boys without a warrant and extorting them their hard-earned money all in the name of searching for Yahoo Boys.
On Tuesday, the boys are inside their Toyota Corolla when the officers tried to stop them, based on their past experience with the rogue policemen, the boys sped up and the officers gave them a chase which later led to a fatal accident that claimed the lives of the boys.
The SARS officers fled the scene immediately as thousands of angry youths ransacked the town of Oshogbo searching for the rogue policemen.
#EndSars has been trending on social media since yesterday evening as many Nigerians called upon the Federal Government to disband the police unit because of extrajudicial killings, extortion, and many other atrocities. This is not the first time that #endsars will be searching on social media, it started in 2017 because of the same in issues.
