Let the smoke settle.
Tear Gas is actually not just a gas.
It’s a chemical powder- designed to irritate your eyes, your airways and your skin IF you let the fumes enter your nose, eyes or settle on your skin.
So as a smart young person, hold your breath, walk away from it.
Wash your hands and eyes.
If you don’t have a facemask, Please use a scarf or bandana.
Cover your nose and mouth with a scarf or bandana, ideally one that has been soaked in water.
This will prevent the teargas from getting into your airways, which will allow you to breathe well.
PLS DO NOT PANIC AT ALL.
If you are a woman there already,
Or just on your way there;
Please NO makeup, Please NO contact lens.
Makeup and contact lens can allow teargas fumes to settle on your skin and eyes and cause maximum injuries to you.
Kindly remove contact lens.
And wash off makeup if you have one.
And eventually when you all get back home: please wash all your clothes even if it looks clean.
Have a full body bath/shower.
If your eyes still itch or your skin is uncomfortable, it may be reaction to the teargas. Take some piriton tablets.
If not helping, speak to a doctor.
